Reading Hospital Foundation recently hosted a donor recognition event with Tony Forino, Founder and CEO of Forino Co., L.P. Tony is a grateful patient who donated generously to the Foundation for McGlinn Cancer Institute (MCI). This donation will be used to purchase 10 new treatment chairs for the MCI Infusion Center, provide support to the MCI Patient Assistance Fund, and help offset the cost of a new digital histological scanner. The new scanner will allow the entire clinical care team to view and share enhanced pathology images to help identify the best course of treatment for each patient. It will also allow for greater teaching opportunities for the Hospital’s residents and fellows.
To recognize his generous donation, the reception area in McGlinn Cancer Institute’s Infusion area has been named the “Tony Forino Reception Area.”
Mr. Forino shared with attendees, “I was impressed by the care teams’ compassion and attention to detail during my treatment. I thank them for all they did for me, and for all the other patients. We are so lucky to have their expertise in our community. My family and I are happy we can help other patients as they begin their journey to recovery”
