Why Reading PA?
The city of Reading and surrounding areas boasts a lively downtown and main street, while also offering thousands of acres of outdoor space at our many state parks and lakes. West Reading’s sidewalks are lined with locally owned brewers, wine
bars, and restaurants all within a walking distance between one another and are often hosts to arts festivals and music events. Whether it be hiking, running, biking, or kayaking, escaping the city is easy at one of the many outdoor escapes, like French Creek State Park or Blue Marsh Lake. Along with its downtown area and great outdoor spaces, Reading’s costs of living is 27% lower than the neighboring city of Philadelphia, and has highly rated school districts. We are centrally located to make the most of the mid Atlantic area, with Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington DC all no more than a few hour’s drive away. Reading is also a thriving art hub with local places like the Goggleworks Center for Arts and Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center. Two local minor league team, Reading Royals Hockey and Reading Phillies Baseball provide locals with entertainment year-round.
