Gender-Affirming Medical and Surgical Program

Our program is led by Kathryn Brandt, DO, one of the first fellowship-trained gender-affirming surgeons in the country. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and her surgical fellowship in gender-affirming procedures at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Medical Services

  • Routine health screenings for transfeminine, transmasculine, and gender-diverse individuals
  • Gender-affirming hormone regimens
  • Routine gynecologic services and care for both transmasculine, transfeminine, and gender-diverse individuals at all stages of transition
  • Post-operative care for patients who have undergone vaginoplasty or metoidioplasty procedures
  • Fertility services, preconceptual, and prenatal care for all gender-diverse patients seeking to start a family

  • Mastectomy (top surgery)
  • Bilateral breast augmentation
  • Orchiectomy
  • Single-stage penile inversion vaginoplasty
  • Hysterectomy
  • Metoidioplasty
  • Revisional vaginoplasty

If an additional procedure is requested, a member of our surgical team can write an appropriate referral.
