Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health congratulates family medicine physician, William Taddonio, MD, on being selected Family Physician of the Year - 2019 by the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, Harrisburg, Pa.

Dr. Taddonio was nominated by patients and colleagues who consistently share their stories and experiences about the knowledge and care he provides. “Dr. Taddonio truly exemplifies what it means to be a physician. He is extremely knowledgeable and incredibly compassionate,” said Richard Newell, Pottstown Hospital President and CEO. “He truly cares about the overall well-being of his patients. Pottstown Hospitalists are fortunate to have him as one our trusted physicians.”

Dr. Taddonio is a member of Tower Health Medical Group and has been a practicing physician at Berks Family Care, Douglassville, since 1991. Taddonio, of Norristown, Pa., began his medical career at Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in family medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

An integral member of the Pottstown community for nearly 30 years, he has served as Director, Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City; School Physician, Pottsgrove School District; Board of Directors of Pottstown Health and Wellness Foundation, as well as Pottstown Family Care and Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. Dr. Taddonio has also had teaching appointments with the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Family Practice, DeSales University, Philadelphia University, and the Family Medicine Residency Program at Reading Hospital - Tower Health.
