September 6, 2023 – Local Girl Scout Cadette and Brownie troops are recognizing two Reading Hospital departments as “Hometown Heroes” to celebrate their hard work, passion for medicine, and high-quality patient care.
August 30, 2023 - Reading Hospital Road Run is set for October 15, 2023, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital. Two races are available: a half marathon and a 5K. The deadline for registration is October 10.
August 28, 2023 - In recognition of the quality of patient care provided at Reading Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, and Pottstown Hospital, two national awards were presented to each.
August 18, 2023 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Drexel University, and Peirce College are working together to collaborate on academic programs that support career transition. Expanding access for adult learners interested in advancing their education also develops a more diverse pipeline of talent for regional employers.
August 9, 2023 - The third entering class of Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health’s MD program will follow in the footsteps of their classmates on Thursday, August 10. As part of their orientation, they will paint a mural that, when complete, will be displayed at the corner of North 11th and Richmond Streets in Reading.
August 3, 2023 - The 2023 Reading Hospital Golf Classic, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will be held on Monday, August 7 at Berkshire Country Club, 1637 Bernville Road, Reading. This year, The Friends have raised nearly $100,000 in support of a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the hospital.
July 28, 2023 –For the 13th year,St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children celebrated the last days of summer with a Back-to-School Carnival for patients and families in the community. Featuring games, music, food, the Phillie Fanatic, and the distribution of thousands of free backpacks stuffed with school supplies.
