Tower Behavioral Health, a joint venture between Acadia Healthcare and Tower Health, recognizes its one-year anniversary today, July 14. The facility is located at 201 Wellness Way in Reading, Pennsylvania.

In its first year, Tower Behavioral Health provided care for 800 inpatients and more than 25,000 outpatient visits.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our patient volumes were higher than we had originally anticipated,” said Stephanie Lee, LCSW, Tower Behavioral Health CEO. “There remains to be a great need for high-quality behavioral health services in our community, and our team is committed to continuing to add the programs and services to meet those needs.”

When Tower Behavioral Health opened in 2020, it offered inpatient care for adults age 18 and older. Now, Tower Behavioral Health offers the following services: inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and seniors; partial hospitalization program; and substance use disorders services.

Ms. Lee added, “Future growth we anticipate for Tower Behavioral Health includes the addition of Intensive outpatient program (IOP), inpatient care for children, psychiatry services for older adults, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.”
