Tower Behavioral Health is now providing inpatient care for adolescents. The facility’s new Inspiration unit, which is now open and accepting patients, features age-appropriate inpatient services for adolescents ages 14-17 who have been struggling with mental and behavioral health disorders. The unit is a safe, highly structured, and closely supervised environment where young people will have the comprehensive support they need to achieve stabilization, develop healthy coping skills, and establish a foundation for continued healing.

Each young person who receives care in the Inspiration unit will follow a personalized treatment plan that is based on a thorough assessment of their unique needs.

Depending on individual need, an adolescent’s treatment within the Inspiration unit may incorporate a wide range of therapeutic modalities and support services, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, and safety planning.

The Inspiration unit will also feature a strong educational program. The Tower Behavioral Health staff includes certified teachers who will develop educational plans and provide learning opportunities. A typical day in the Inspiration unit will include two hours of academic instruction, provided to small groups of eight to 12 adolescents within a supportive, on-site classroom environment. Individual education consults will also be available on request.

“Opening the Inspiration unit is the latest step in our ongoing effort to ensure that individuals and families throughout eastern Pennsylvania have access to the superior services they deserve,” said Tower Behavioral Health CEO Stephanie Lee. “When parents choose our facility, they can rest assured that their children will receive personalized care and comprehensive support within a safe and welcoming environment.”
