She listened to me with her full focus and with care. She listened to me, then explained an alternative way to think about blood pressure medicine: She didn't try to sell me something - she didn't speak condescendingly to me - she didn't disregard my views. Instead, she listened compassionately and offered an alternative view in a context with which I could relate. From a medical provider's perspective, she did what doctors should do.
