More than half of adults in the United States report having some level of sleep disorder. If left untreated, they can not only impact your day but your health and emotional well-being. We conduct sleep studies at our accredited sleep labs to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of sleep disorders, including:
- Circadian rhythm disorders
- Insomnia
- Hypersomnia
- Narcolepsy
- Pediatric sleep disorders
- Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
- Sleep Apnea
Diagnosing Sleep Disorders
An overnight sleep study in a Tower Health accredited sleep lab is the best way to determine if you have a sleep disorder. As the patient sleeps, a sleep technologist records electronically transmitted data from a variety of tests that monitor sleep cycles and physiological functions. A sleep doctor then evaluates that data to diagnose the patient’s sleep disorder.
Home sleep studies or multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT) may be considered for some patients.
Do I Need a Sleep Study?
If you have the following symptoms, you may benefit from a sleep study:
- Feel sleep deprived or experience daytime sleepiness.
- Spend a lot of time lying awake at night.
- Fall asleep often during the day.
- Your sleeping partner tells you they hear you gasp for air while sleeping.
- You have poorly controlled high blood pressure.
- You have heart arrhythmias.
