Reading Hospital and Local Partners to 'Rock the Block' With Oakbrook Community
Today, Thursday, October 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. community members are invited to join Reading Hospital, Berks Community Health Center and other community organizations at "Rock the Block - Oakbrook". This free block party will be held at Oakbrook Playground and will offer activities for the entire family. Healthy snacks, music, and crafts will be available for all attendees. Admission is free and registration is not required.
"Reading Hospital is looking forward to hosting another 'Rock the Block' event with the Oakbrook Community. This event will provide free health and wellness information, as well as introductions to the community services available in our county. I encourage all neighbors to attend to participate to learn more," said Desha Dickson, Associate Vice President, Community Wellness.
Participating organizations include: Reading Hospital, Berks Community Health Center, AAA/Safe Berks County, Inc., United Way of Berks County, SafeBerks, Berks Community Action Program, Maternal Family Health Services/WIC, Berks County Intermediate Unit, Family Guidance Center, Easter Seals, Olivet's Boys and Girls Club, and PA Food Trust.
Upcoming block party dates include, Thursday, November 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. All events are held rain or shine.
