Reading Hospital to Celebrate National EMS Week by Hosting Barbeque for EMS Professionals on May 23

Reading Hospital will celebrate National EMS Week, May 20 to 26, 2018, by inviting emergency medical services (EMS) professionals to a barbeque in their honor on Wednesday, May 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Reading Hospital in front of the Trauma Center entrance.

Reading Hospital is pleased to host the barbeque to recognize EMS professionals for the important role they play in saving lives and for their dedication and commitment to partnering with receiving hospitals.

EMS professionals save lives by responding to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, falls, drownings, accidents and drug overdoses. They provide skilled, compassionate care at the scene as well as en route to the hospital.

This year is the 44th annual National EMS Week. EMS professionals who have questions about the barbeque are encouraged to call 484-628-HELP (4357).
