Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia 2026 honoree badge

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children has been named a 2026 honoree of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, recognizing St. Christopher’s as one of the region’s 50 most community-minded organizations.

The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia recognizes organizations that use their time, talent, and resources to make a meaningful impact in the communities they serve. For St. Christopher’s, this recognition reflects a commitment that extends far beyond the walls of the hospital — supporting children and families throughout Philadelphia and working alongside community partners to address all the factors that influence health and well-being.

St. Christopher’s food insecurity programs have provided more than 100,000 meals in a single year. Through a partnership with Reach Out and Read, the hospital has distributed hundreds of thousands of books to children during well visits. St. Christopher’s also brings health resources directly into the community through educational programs, injury prevention initiatives, and community health workers who connect families with care and support.

The hospital’s annual Back-to-School Carnival is another example of that commitment, bringing thousands of children and families together for school supplies, health screenings, nutrition education, and other resources.

These efforts reflect St. Christopher’s longstanding commitment to supporting the children and families it serves and helping them access the care, resources, and opportunities they need to lead healthier lives.

About the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia

Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia measures and recognizes the 50 most community-minded employers across the region. The initiative is conducted in partnership with Points of Light, lead partner the Philadelphia Foundation and other local partners and is modeled after Points of Light’s national Civic 50 program.

Honorees are selected through an independent methodology administered by True Impact and evaluated across four dimensions of community engagement: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems, and impact measurement.
