February 4, 2026 - The past year has brought significant advancements and investments in the Tower Health Breast Program. We are pleased to share a number of key developments.

January 21, 2026 - Falls are the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries among Pennsylvanians aged 65 and older. In 2023 alone, falls led to 2,022 deaths and 68,644 hospitalizations across the state, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

January 1, 2026 - The results are in! We’ve crunched the numbers to determine the most popular names for the nearly 3,0000 babies born at Tower Health in 2025. 

December 18, 2025 - Reading Hospital – Tower Health has received Magnet® designation for Nursing Excellence from The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the third consecutive time.

December 3, 2025 - Let’s be real: Getting a shot is no one’s idea of fun. However, vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect your health. And the truth is they’re important at every stage of life to prevent the spread of serious diseases.

November 12, 2025 - In August 2025, the Health Equity team celebrated the first ever National Community Health Worker (CHW) Awareness Week. Throughout the week, the team hosted events to show the important role CHWs play in supporting patients and strengthening our community.

October 23, 2025 – McGlinn Cancer Institute at Reading Hospital is offering free prostate and skin cancer screenings in a continued effort to support community health and education. Regular screenings increase the chance of finding cancer early when it’s most treatable.

October 6, 2025 - Lace up your running shoes and register for Reading Hospital Road Run, which will be hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital on Sunday, October 19, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. 

September 30, 2025 - Reading Hospital 7th Avenue Pharmacy is hosting “Walk-In Wednesdays” to make it even easier and more convenient to get a flu shot this fall.
