March 25, 2021 - Every March, National Social Work Month recognizes the dedication and empathy social workers across the country deliver while providing compassionate services. St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children chooses a timely topic and hosts educational events each year. This year’s topic was “Unconscious Bias - What You Do Not Realize That Affects Every Life Action.”

St. Christopher’s is celebrating Child Life Month, a month-long celebration when hospitals honor Child Life professionals through education and awareness of their work. There will be a full week of inpatient and staff activities on March 15-19 at St. Christopher’s, with a different costume theme each day.

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has awarded Susan B. Conley, MD, their prestigious Excellence in Care Award, which will be presented during the Foundation's virtual Eve of Giving event on March 11. Dr. Conley is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology and is an attending nephrologist at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

March 4, 2021 - Tower Health announced today that as of Saturday, February 27, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children successfully launched Epic, the electronic health record (EHR).

November 18, 2020 - St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a leading pediatric hospital, and Reading Hospital – Tower Health are joining the Injury Free Coalition for Kids in launching the Inaugural U.S. National Injury Prevention Day today, Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children has launched a new Donor Breast Milk Program to serve newborns in the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Donor Breast Milk Program allows breast milk to be a feeding option for the critically-ill patients being treated in the NICU.

Award makes Philadelphia hospital the only children’s hospital in the state to receive this distinction for the second year in a row.
