Breast Health Center of Excellence

NAPBC Accredited Breast Center and American College of Radiology Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center

Our Breast Health program has earned national accreditation recognizing the excellence of the full spectrum of breast care, from screening mammography to the most advanced cancer treatments.

  • The Breast Health Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, signifying that our program meets the highest standards of the radiology profession.
  • The Breast Health Center at Reading and Phoenixville Hospitals has also been awarded three-year full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.

Early Detection is Your Best Defense

For women at average risk of breast cancer, annual screening mammograms are now recommended to begin at age 40. For women at higher risk, annual mammograms may begin earlier. A doctor’s order is not required to schedule a screening mammogram. Schedule your mammogram today by logging into MyTowerHealth or speaking to our representatives.

State-of-the-Art Technology

Screening is your first line of defense, and we are dedicated to keeping women healthy, educated, and informed. We offer a variety of diagnostic services, including 3D mammography, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and genetic screening that can help identify breast issues before they become serious health problems.

Ease of Access

We are proud to offer extended hours to make scheduling your mammogram easy at our imaging locations. Additionally, we have a mobile mammography coach that brings screening services out into the community.

Facilitated Care

If you should have an abnormal finding, we will refer you to a surgeon within 48 hours. We offer minimally invasive diagnostic breast biopsy procedures using ultrasound and stereotactic guidance. A breast health coordinator will assist you with making appointments, accessing support services, and gathering information for your individualized treatment plan.

The Breast Health Center provides preventive screenings and rapid diagnostic testing to help patients who are diagnosed with breast cancer move quickly from testing to treatment. Our team uses a multi-disciplinary care approach in a comfortable and supportive setting, with access to additional resources from our comprehensive McGlinn Cancer Institute. Your breast cancer team may include a board-certified surgeon, radiologist, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, reconstructive surgeon, therapists, support from McGlinn Cancer Institute (social worker, national clinical trials, current resources), and a breast health navigator.
