We’re pleased to have announced plans from the Tower Health Board to chart our path forward, including a plan to develop a strategic alliance with Penn Medicine, one of the nation’s premier healthcare organizations. We have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to begin the process of developing an alignment model with Penn Medicine. It is important to note that a strategic alliance is not a merger between health systems. It is a relationship between two independent organizations focused on the joint development of innovative programs and initiatives to deliver superior, cost-effective, and accessible patient care in the local community and at the respective institutions. These are goals that both our organizations share.

Our mission is just as important as ever – and our employees and providers are the heartbeat of that mission. It is important to know that nothing changes today for our patients. All patients will continue to have access to their providers without any disruption in care, and all current insurances will continue to be accepted. As we move through this process of developing our strategic alliance with Penn Medicine, we remain focused on providing our communities with high-value healthcare services.
