March 21, 2022 - The Friends of Reading Hospital announced that the Reading Hospital Road Run will again return to West Reading this fall, on the morning of Sunday, October 16. The 2022 event will include a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles), with both routes primarily covering fast and scenic roadways around the Reading Hospital in West Reading and surrounding neighborhoods.
October 22, 2021 - On Thursday, October 28, Reading Hospital will host a blood drive for Miller-Keystone Blood Center. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and all 41 appointments have been filled.
August 2, 2021 - On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the inaugural class of Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health MD Program students will be painting a portion of a mural sponsored by ruOK Berks?, the Berks County Suicide Prevention Task Force. The theme of the 45-foot-tall mural is “HOPE” and was designed by local artist Gregory Didyoung.
April 1, 2021 - Each day, 17 people in the United States die while waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Tower Health is pleased to join the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) and Gift of Life Donor Program and organ procurement organizations throughout the country to inspire hope, advocacy, and passion as part of a statewide campaign to promote organ and tissue donation. Gift of Life encourages individuals to register to become an organ, tissue, and cornea donor.
