The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), a statewide membership services organization that has advocated for the health and well-being of all commonwealth citizens for almost a century, has announced the appointment of William M. Jennings President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reading Hospital - Tower Health, to its board of directors for a one-year term effective January 1, 2020.

Mr. Jennings joined Reading Hospital as President and CEO in October 2018 and provides leadership to operations, performance, strategy, employee and physician engagement, and service to the community. Prior to joining Reading Hospital he served as CEO of Bridgeport Hospital, an urban teaching hospital affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine and part of Yale New Haven Health System.
As one of the 22 healthcare leaders from across the commonwealth serving on the board, Mr. Jennings will be actively involved in the development of HAP's public policy and supporting its mission of ensuring and caring for a healthier Pennsylvania.
