October 1, 2024 - The opening of a new cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab) at Reading Hospital will help meet the region's growing demand for heart procedures and enable more patients to be treated and diagnosed each day. 

September 23, 2024 - This year, the Reading Hospital Road Run will return to our neighborhood on Sunday, October 20, with more than just a beautiful run through West Reading, PA. 

August 28, 2024 - As a certified Breast Health Center of Excellence, the Reading Hospital Imaging Center and the McGlinn Cancer Institute at Reading Hospital assist patients with barriers that may delay or prevent them from receiving their annual mammograms, and offer treatment options personalized for each patient – from screening and diagnosis to treatment, rehabilitation, and survivorship. 

August 7, 2024 - The Friends of Reading Hospital hosted 100 golfers at Berkshire Country Club for the annual Reading Hospital Golf Classic Tournament and raised $100,000 to support critical care initiatives in Reading Hospital's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

May 3, 2024 - Reading Hospital’s youngest patients received a surprise visit this week from retired NFL quarterback Chad Henne and his wife, Brittany. The Berks County couple partnered with Reading Hospital Foundation to cheer on patients and staff in the hospital’s Pediatric Department and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

February 14, 2024 - Reading Hospital is pleased to announce the generous donation of two AEDs that will be part of The Friends of Reading Hospital’s HeartSAFE Berks County AED Loaner Program. The program provides community organizations with access to this lifesaving technology at no cost.

January 23, 2024 - Reading Hospital Foundation released its 2022-2023 Annual Report, which includes donor recognitions and inspiring stories from patients and employees who have directly benefited from donations.

December 1, 2023 - Reading Hospital has re-introduced Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to better equip employees and community members with the training and knowledge they need to support someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

November 15, 2023 - Tower Health at Home Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Maricelys Ortiz views her patients as family members, treating them with dignity and respect.

November 1, 2023 - In an effort to raise awareness about men’s health, the Reading Hospital Foundation is hosting Beards & Brews with celebrity bartenders at BLDG 24 on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4 to 10 p.m.
