Reading Hospital Foundation has purchased more than $50,000 of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to donate to Reading Hospital employees. The funds for these items were made possible by donations to the hospital's COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

With the donated funds the Foundation purchased:

  • 14,000 procedure masks
  • 6,000 N95 respirator masks
  • 60,300 pairs of latex free gloves
  • 2,640 liters of hand sanitizer

"The donation of PPE for our team members at Reading Hospital has proven essential," said William M. Jennings, Reading Hospital President and CEO. "Maintaining the safety of our patients and employees is paramount in helping to further prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities."

"We are pleased to be able to provide this important equipment to Reading Hospital employees," said Kate Thornton President, Reading Hospital Foundation. "My thanks to the many generous individuals and businesses in the community that made this donation to the employees possible."

During this time of critical community need, many have come forward to ask how they can help.
