April 20, 2026 - Reading Hospital has again earned national recognition for excellence in clinical outcomes, best practices, value, and patient experience. The hospital was recently named to Forbes Top Hospitals List and to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals List. It’s the fourth consecutive year the hospital has earned top honors from Newsweek. 

April 14, 2026 - At Tower Health, the need for organ donation is not abstract – it’s personal. For more than a year, one of our occupational therapists, Amanda Kuzo, has been waiting for a kidney transplant and will soon begin nightly dialysis, even as she remains asymptomatic five years after her diagnosis.

April 6, 2026 - Reading Hospital has been recognized for the 4th year in a row on Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026 list. This honor reflects the dedication of physicians, nurses, clinicians, and staff who deliver expert, compassionate and innovative care to patients every day.

March 31, 2026 - Reading Hospital’s annual “Piece Per Person” food drive continues to make a major impact in the fight against student hunger. This year, nearly 3,000 employees across 70 departments collected 31,484 food items to support students in the Reading School District through Weekender Bags, in partnership with Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank.

March 24, 2026 - Nearly 50 Tower Health physicians have been recognized on the Reading Eagle’s 2026 Best Medical Professionals in Berks County List for setting a high standard of quality and patient care. The annual distinction reflects their commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and dedication to improving the health of our community.

March 13, 2026 - The Friends of Reading Hospital, in partnership with the Reading Hospital Foundation, raised more than $150,000 at this year’s Farm to Table(aux) celebration.

March 3, 2026 - Reading Hospital partnered with The Junior League of Reading and Berks Teens to host “Let’s Talk, Period,” a free event focused on menstrual equity and period positivity for teens and tweens in grades 3 to 8 and a trusted adult. More than 130 individuals were in attendance, making it the largest event to date.

February 19, 2026 - Nearly one year ago, Robert Eisenhower of Bernville underwent life-saving heart surgery at Reading Hospital after his valve dissolved – a situation his wife, Brenda, described as “very close to the end.”
