On June 13, Reading Health opened the Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy. The new pharmacy is located inside the hospital's 5th Avenue entrance next to the Tower Café.

The new, full service, pharmacy is open seven days a week. Prescriptions can  be tracked and refilled through the pharmacy's website, and customers can sign up for the text message alerts for when prescriptions are ready for refill or pickup. Patients at Reading Health can have their prescriptions filled and delivered to their rooms before discharge. And for the safety of the community the pharmacy will serve as a drop off location for unused and expired medicine to ensure proper disposal.
