Our dedicated community volunteers are always generous with their time and talent -- from cradling babies in the NICU to organizing programs and events. In recognition of Volunteer Awareness Week, we did a little math to determine how much time our amazing volunteers donated to Tower Health facilities in 2023.
In total, 525 people volunteered more than 49,000 hours at Tower Health hospitals last year, and we are so grateful for their willingness to give back.

“I’d like to personally thank all of our health system volunteers for their selfless service to our patients, team members, and communities,” said P. Sue Perrotty, Tower Health president and CEO. “We are so fortunate that they share their time, talents, and knowledge with us. We have volunteers who help our patients and families heal, volunteers who help our staff, and volunteers who participate on our hospital boards and are committed to ensuring our hospitals will continue to provide the highest levels of care for many years to come. We couldn’t accomplish all that we do without their help.”
Volunteering provides multiple rewards, including improving physical and mental health, establishing friendships, and creating a deeper connection in the community.
