January 2, 2024 - To celebrate Berks County native Taylor Swift’s birthday on December 13, Reading Hospital maternity and NICU staff shared Eras-style friendship bracelets. In all, 11 babies were born that day, and the staff distributed about 60 bracelets to newborns and their families, as well as to a few employees who are Swifties and couldn’t resist.
January 2, 2024 - For many people, the winter season means the return of holiday celebrations with friends and family or building snowmen out of freshly fallen snow. However, studies show that hospital visits increase approximately 10 percent during the holidays, a trend we’ve also seen at Reading Hospital.
December 5, 2023 - This holiday season, The Friends of Reading Hospital are encouraging employees and community members to shop local at the annual Holiday Happenings Craft Shop on Wednesday, December 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the Reading Hospital Fifth Avenue Lobby and Conference Rooms 1 to 3. November 28, 2023 - Reading Hospital will open a third full-service pharmacy on Wednesday, November 29 in Wyomissing. Among the services offered at the new pharmacy is free home delivery to residents within a 25-mile radius.
November 21, 2023 – Team members from the Reading Hospital Nutrition Services Department and Michelle Trupp, MSN, RN, CEN, Chief Operating Officer for Reading Hospital, volunteered to distribute Thanksgiving turkeys to Berks County residents at The Salvation Army in Reading on Tuesday, November 21.
