February 8, 2022 - Reading Hospital today announced that for the first time it has been named one of Healthgrades America’s 50 Best Hospitals, which places the hospital among the top 1 percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide, according to Healthgrades. This award recognizes Reading Hospital for its consistent, year-over-year superior clinical performance.

February 3, 2022 - Congratulations to this year’s winners of Reading Hospital Trauma Department's “Scratch Off” contest.

January 17, 2022 - Reading Hospital Foundation (RHF) announced today that Tony Balistrere has been named Director of Development, effective December 20, 2021, Stacey Cole has been named Director of Stewardship and Special Projects, effective January 3, 2022, and Melissa Karas has been promoted to Senior Director, Foundation Operations, effective August 24, 2021.

January 13, 2022 - On Monday, January 17 at 9 a.m., Reading Hospital Emergency Department physician Joshua Rosen, MD, will be presented the Citizenship Award from the Pennsylvania State Police for his assistance on scene at an automobile accident.

January 10, 2022 - Reading Hospital has been recognized as High Performing in Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) by U.S. News & World Report.

January 3, 2022 - Tower Health today announced the satellite office of Penn Transplant Institute (PTI) opened at Reading Hospital on December 14. Pre- and post-transplant care at Reading Hospital are now being provided by the Penn Transplant Institute, and transplant surgeries will be performed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

December 14, 2021 - Reading Hospital Foundation has reached its two-million-dollar fundraising goal to purchase a mobile mammography coach. The first screenings are expected to begin in the summer of 2022.

December 6, 2021 - Tower Health Medical Group now offers a mobile eye clinic for patients in the Street Medicine Program.

November 17, 2021 - On Thursday, November 18, Reading Hospital will recognize the 2nd annual National Injury Prevention Day hosted by the Injury Free Coalition for Kids®. The day is designed to raise awareness about the burden of injury, violence, and the simple steps that can help prevent injury.

November 15, 2021 - The Reading Hospital SurgiCenter at Spring Ridge has been included on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022 and is ranked sixth in Pennsylvania.
