April 28, 2020 - Tower Health reminds the community to be aware of an increase of COVID-19 themed malicious cyber activity and encourages individuals and businesses to follow safe email practices to reduce the risk of falling victim to scams or destructive computer viruses.

April 22, 2020 - Tower Health announced today that it is participating in important research involving the use of plasma from those who have recovered from COVID-19. The goal is to investigate the use of antibodies, presumed to be present in the plasma, as a treatment for those with the disease.

April 21, 2020 - Tower Health announced today that it will begin furloughing approximately 1,000 FTEs in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health system. Impacted employees work in a range of support, administrative, and technical areas.

April 16, 2020 - Reading Hospital - Tower Health has relocated its Donation Drop off tent to the 6th Avenue (Clock Tower) drive. This change will be effective, Thursday, April 16 at 8 a.m.

April 14, 2020 - Diamond Credit Union has partnered with Reading Hospital Foundation beginning in 2018 providing support for important strategic initiatives such as the James and Deborah Radwanski Pediatric Emergency Department, Employee Assistance Fund, 150th Anniversary Fund, and McGlinn Cancer Institute. 

April 9, 2020 - Tower Health announces today that it is adding virtual care capabilities to help address its community's COVID-19 needs, as well as other healthcare conditions.

April 3, 2020 - Since March 18 all Tower Health Urgent Care locations have been fully integrated into Tower Health's Epic electronic health record (EHR). This is another major step forward in Tower Health's journey to becoming a fully integrated healthcare system, and significantly enhances the role of Tower Health Urgent Care facilities in serving the community during the COVID-19 situation.

April 1, 2020 - COVID-19 has become prevalent in many areas of the state, and has reached "community spread" status throughout the area served by Tower Health. This means that the virus is prevalent in the community and new infections are possible in work, home, and community settings.

March 18, 2020 - Effective March 17, St. Christopher's Hospital resumed Critical Care and Level 1 Trauma Services following the opening of an eight-bed pediatric intensive care unit called PICU East.
