Amanda McNicholas
Chief Advanced Practice Professional Officer (CAPPO) for Tower Health

Amanda began her career at Reading Hospital in 2005 as a certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) in trauma services. In 2008, she became the Director of Advanced Practice for Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care. This role expanded to include Neurocritical Care in 2014 and expanded again 2015, as Trauma Program Director, where she worked collaboratively with leadership to optimize operations and strategic planning for the Trauma Department. She also serves as the Critical Care Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Administrative Director.  She recently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice, with a focus on clinical leadership, from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Prior to her work at Reading Hospital, Amanda worked as a nurse at Temple University Hospital as well as a CRNP at Temple Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.; a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Temple University.
