August 2, 2021 - On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the inaugural class of Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health MD Program students will be painting a portion of a mural sponsored by ruOK Berks?, the Berks County Suicide Prevention Task Force. The theme of the 45-foot-tall mural is “HOPE” and was designed by local artist Gregory Didyoung.

July 12, 2021 - Reading Hospital announced that at midnight on July 12, 2021 (when a daily census is counted), it had ZERO COVID-19 inpatients for the first time in 17 months. To date, Reading Hospital has treated 3,225 COVID-19 inpatients.

July 1, 2021 - Tower Health and its affiliated healthcare providers would like to make you aware of a voluntary recall issued by Philips Respironics for several of its ventilator products. The recalled products include Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure (Bi-Level PAP), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and mechanical ventilator devices.

June 18, 2021 - Reading Hospital – Tower Health received Magnet® Designation for Nursing Excellence from The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the second consecutive time.

June 1, 2021 - Tower Health announced that, effective today, it will offer walk-in vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine during all clinic hours.

However, many individuals may be anxious to safely “reenter” into more normal activities, while also feeling uncertain about safety and how to address the many changes forced upon themselves, their families, and their communities over the last year.

May 17, 2021 - According to both the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, all persons must continue to wear masks in all hospitals, outpatient facilities, urgent care centers, and physician offices. In compliance with this guidance, Tower Health will continue its current policies requiring all employees, medical staff, patients, and visitors to wear masks in inside all Tower Health facilities, including all clinical and non-clinical areas such as hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.
