Our highly trained surgeons focus on diagnosing and treating you with a specialized care plan to improve your function and quality of life. Types of surgery we perform include:

  • General Neurosurgery. When possible, we use minimally invasive techniques to surgically treat diseases of the brain, spine and nervous system, including tumors, movement disorders, traumatic brain injury, and degenerative spinal conditions.
  • Neurovascular surgery. Our neurovascular experts diagnose and treat vascular disease in the brain and spinal cord, including aneurysms, strokes, skull-based tumors, and carotid disease.
  • Neuromodulation. Using implantable devices, we delivery electrical stimulation or medicine to the nervous system to treat disorders and enhance your quality of life. Neuromodulation is often used in pain, movement disorders, seizures, and epilepsy.

  • Radiosurgery. For patients that do not require open surgery, highly focused radiation beams are used to precisely target tumors to halt or shrink their growth with the goal of causing the least amount of damage to surrounding normal brain tissue.
  • Normal pressure hydrocephalus. Patients with enlarged fluid chambers in the brain that have difficulty keeping their balance, remembering things, or excessively going to the bathroom may benefit from a shunt that drains that fluid to the abdomen.
  • Movement Disorders/Parkinson’s disease. Patients with tremors or rigidity from Parkinson’s disease can sometimes benefit from surgery when medication no longer works. The surgery entails implanting an electrode wire into the brain that is attached to a generator implanted under the skin.
  • Pediatric neurosurgery. Our pediatric neurosurgeons treat children of all ages with diseases and conditions of the brain, spine, and nervous system.
  • Trauma. Our neurosurgeons are often in the front lines in managing minor or severe traumatic injuries of the spine and brain.
