The purpose of this study is to compare the usual approach of monitoring metastatic breast cancer to a different approach of monitoring the disease. In the usual approach of monitoring metastatic cancer, the treating doctor decides which scans (like X-rays, CT, PET, and MRI) and serum tumor marker (STM) blood tests should be done and how often they should be done. In the different approach of monitoring the disease, the treating doctor uses the results of the STM blood tests to determine when scans should be done.
