Each workday begins with morning service rounds followed by a protected educational session attended by all residents and most of the 49 faculty members.

Lectures and Focused Education

Monday and Wednesday are CME lectures, Tuesdays and Thursdays include morning report, and Friday is a time for resident-focused education from 7 to 8:15 a.m., which includes our simulation curriculum. A formal L&D board sign-out/educational rounds occurs Fridays from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.

Guest Speakers

Our guest speakers include nationally renowned academicians who will broaden your view of medicine and the world. The goal of these sessions is to share experiences so that residents and physicians alike learn, grow, and become more knowledgeable about the best ways to treat the patients who are in our care.

Cooperative Learning

You will also have cooperative learning experiences with other departments in the Hospital, including pathology, radiology, and oncology.

Clinically, as a resident, you’ll provide care in inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.
