Phoenixville Hospital

Phoenixville Hospital is a 144 licensed bed, private room acute-care medical facility that has provided a continuum of care to the community for more than 100 years. Key services include:  cardiology/cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, emergency medicine, oncology, obstetrics, women’s health, orthopedics, hemodialysis, general surgery, robotic surgery, rehabilitation services and wound care.  Conveniently located just off of route 422, Phoenixville Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The emergency department has 23,000 visits per year, with a higher acuity and diversity than most similarly sized community hospitals. The ED also has a geriatric observation unit in partnership with its stroke center. The hospital is particularly well-known for its labor and delivery services and a high volume of cardiovascular disease and surgery cases.

The Caring Together program, established in 1991 by Barbara Schindler, MD, helps women and their children overcome substance abuse and start a new life without drugs and alcohol. The program utilizes a multi-phase, multi-disciplinary approach to treat the addiction and any other issues which may have caused or resulted from using. The Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center

The Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 3 facility serving Veterans in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.  The VA Medical Center is located in Coatesville, PA with outpatient clinics located in Springfield and West Norriton, Pa.    

Programs and treatment are focused heavily on mental health care, geriatrics and extended care, primary care, urgent care, specialty and women’s health care, rehabilitative services, pharmacy and social work services for outpatients, residential patients and inpatients. In fiscal year 2019, the medical center served 18,860 Veteran patients, had 231,168 outpatient visits, and completed 2,240 inpatient and residential admissions. We have  396  operating beds and approximately 1,300 employees.
