Prasad R Joshi, MD

Joshi is board-certified as a child / adolescent and adult psychiatrist. He is also trained as a molecular pharmacologist and neurobiologist. Dr. Prasad R. Joshi completed his medical training in India, at the MGM Medical College, University of Mumbai, in 1998. After briefly working in India in public health services, he relocated to the US and completed PhD in biochemistry/molecular pharmacology. He subsequently worked as a research scientist in various settings including academic and industrial research and development. Dr. Joshi has also previously taught pharmacology at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. He has prior research experience in CNS receptor pharmacology, electrophysiology, drug discovery, and neurobiology of diseases such as Huntington's disease, Parkinson’s disease, and pediatric epilepsy. He finished his residency and fellowship training at Hahnemann Hospital/Drexel College of Medicine in 2019.
Before joining Tower Health in May 2024, Dr. Joshi worked in various clinical settings including residential treatment programs for autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, child and adolescent partial and inpatient hospitalization programs, adult inpatient programs, and child, adolescent, and adult outpatient programs. His research interests include psychiatric drug development including clinical trials. He is particularly interested in novel drug development for PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and bipolar spectrum disorder. He is also interested in psychoanalytic/psychodynamic psychotherapy.

As vice dean, a position she held for 18 years, she guided the College through several LCME accreditations and provided exemplary leadership and creativity in the service of medical education. Prior to becoming vice dean, Dr. Schindler served as acting chair of the Department of Psychiatry from 1993 to 1995. Dr. Schindler is the founder and medical director of the Caring Together Program, an outpatient treatment program for women with substance use disorders and their children. She is board-certified in psychiatry, with additional qualifications in geriatric psychiatry and expertise in hospital consultation psychiatry and the treatment of addictive and psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Schindler has more than 150 publications, abstracts, and presentations in consultation-liaison psychiatry/psychosomatic medicine, substance abuse in women, and medical education. She collaborated on a multicenter study of the effects of financial stress on the physical and mental health of academic-health-center faculty and is the principal investigator of two SAMHSA grants, one to expand Caring Together for women being released from incarceration, and another focused on expanding prevention, identification, and treatment of opioid use disorder in Philadelphia.
April Fallon, PhD

Reem A Tarazi, PhD

Ravi S Ramasamy, MD

He has been a faculty member at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital since July 2018, where his clinical work has been exclusively on the inpatient psychiatric unit.
