The Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship at Reading Hospital - Tower Health is an ACGME-accredited program that provides vigorous training experience in clinical endocrinology and broad opportunities for research.

Fellows rotate through both inpatient and outpatient consultative services, where they gain clinical training in all areas of endocrinology. Our fellowship program allows fellows to learn how to treat and manage a full range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. Fellows are trained in the most up-to-date diabetes technologies including insulin pump management, continuous glucose monitoring, closed loop algorithms, and smart pens, among others. They are also trained to become skilled at thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspiration. Fellows learn how to interpret endocrine imaging, from bone densitometry to MIBG scans. The fellowship program involves a series of core curriculum lectures, regular journal clubs, endocrine board review sessions, tumor boards, cytology conferences, radiology conferences, patient care case presentations, and research conferences.
